I 1000% wrote this after watching Past Lives. This is one of my top three movies, and it beautifully shows that love doesn't always work out in this lifetime. Celine Song did an amazing job.

This is my opinionated think piece, conceptualized in mid-September, during Sabrina Carpenter's attack over her album cover for Man's Best Friend and the photoshoots preceding the album's release. I was scared to post this because people love to misunderstand everything...I've changed my mind. I have always been ahead of my time, so womp womp. I'm prolific.

Light proofreading is the only thing done to this poem after finding it in a shared Google Drive folder from Tom Burge, the professor and musician who was teaching at the time.
